Sousuke, he can “keep up with Haru’s speed” in freestyle, and (like always) beat Rin in butterfly despite his broken shoulder and lack of practice within 2 years due to his condition. So can you imagine how amazing he was? To me, it seems Sou is superior to both Rin and Haru. Quit swimming for good? No. I won’t accept that. He deserves better. He will come back, better than ever before, to his dreams, to his Rin. Definitely.
I think about this all the time, he really is an amazing boy who deserves so much more.
He’s talented and passionate in what he does, I know some people believe it’s time he gave up his dream but he wouldn’t by happy. Content maybe. But actually happy? No way.
He’s worked so hard for his dream and Rin knows Sousuke deserves to continue swimming, he believes in Sousuke because he knows what it is that Sousuke wants most.
It may be questionable whether or not Sousuke will recover fully but he won’t give up now, not when Rin has confessed that he is waiting for him to return.
